Graham Green (1904—1991)

Graham Green was born in 1904 in Burkehamstead. His father was the headmaster of a school. Green joined the British Communist Party when he was only 18. In 1962, he was converted to the Catholic religion. He has written The Man Within (1929), The Name of Action (1930), Stumbowl Train (1932), It Is A Battlefield (1934), England Made me (1935) and Brighton Rock (1938).
